Our name says it all, Safe, Natural, Organics (SNO). At The SNO Company, we believe that providing products of the highest quality is our obligation. Quality means not only ensuring that our products meet or exceed technical standards, but that in all we do, we uphold our commitment to health, wellness, and protecting our environment. We believe that our health and our environment are inseparable and our products will be in alignment with this belief.

SNO Concentrate Safety and Environmental Concerns

Health Issues

SNO Concentrate has a toxicity rate of <5 gm/kg, this is the lowest classification level of toxicity, making it very safe to use.

SNO Concentrate does not contain any ingredients listed as carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) or the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

SNO Concentrate has been given a rating by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency does not include it on it's Chemicals of Regulatory Rules (CORR) list.

Biodegradation

It is generally accepted that SNO Concentrate is degraded in the environment in a relatively short period of time. SNO Concentrate is a safe, naturally occurring compound with many uses.

Disposal of SNO Concentrate

SNO Concentrate does not contain any hazardous ingredients that would render it hazardous for disposal. It should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. SNO Concentrate will not harm sewage treatment organisms and is actually consumed as food for bacteria.

When mixed with hazardous waste, it must be treated as hazardous and disposed of accordingly.

Container Disposal

SNO Concentrate containers are made from recyclable containers. The residue in empty containers is not hazardous for disposal.

Worker Safety Issues

SNO Concentrate contains no ozone depleting compounds, has a pleasant smell, is non-toxic and readily biodegrades. SNO Concentrate is considered non-hazardous to humans, animals, and aquatic life.

On the other hand, the use of petroleum and chlorinated solvents has serious health concerns in regard to toxicity and long term exposure. Other solvents also contain toxic fumes, for which the long term effects are unknown.

Many solvents being sold today are being phased out by the Montreal Protocol and the U.S. Clean Air Act. These solvents are very persistent in the environment and also deplete the ozone layer. Many municipalities and work places have already banned their use.

Most cleaners on the market today are very caustic and corrosive, and they can harm skin and eyes. SNO Concentrate is not caustic or corrosive.

Product Performance

SNO Concentrate can replace most chlorinated and petroleum based compounds for cleaning parts and degreasing machinery.

SNO Concentrate works best if left on the surface for several minutes to allow its natural action to penetrate.

Best performance occurs if warm water is used and the surface can be agitated and scrubbed. SNO Concentrate can be mixed with cold or hot water, allowing it to be used in hot washers and steam cleaners. SNO Concentrate has advanced chemistry allowing it to dissolve grease, emulsify and carry away soils and prevents hard water build-up.

Other "environmentally friendly" cleaners do not have effective cleaning power for most industrial applications. SNO Concentrate cleans effectively and economically even after dilution.

Giving Back

As a company dedicated to improving health, wellness, and the environment, we believe it is important to give back. Presently, the way we give back falls under two basic categories:

Children's Health

We donate 2% of sales to the Autism Research Institute (ARI). ARI's main project, Defeat Autism Now! is dedicated to educating parents and physicians about biomedically based research and provides hope to thousands of families and their future. Children are the most vulnerable members of our society and are directly affected by the decisions made by their elders.

Global Climate Health

The SNO Company partners with AtmosClear to encourage emission reduction and renewable energy projects and to help offset the carbon emitted by The SNO Company.
